GM Celebrates 500,000 Turbo-Diesel Engines Overseas

General Motors has yet another reason to celebrate. Earlier this month they produced their 500,000th 4 cylinder turbo-diesel engine at their plant in Thailand. This is their first facility to produce that quantity of this engine and have accomplished all of this since production began in September 2011. All engines produced have been fitted to Chevrolet Colorados and Trailblazers that were also assembled in Thailand.

GM credits their success to their hard working employees as well as advancements in technology that have allowed them to accomplish this monumental task. Not only was this facility hard working, but they also earned the Best Safety Culture Award out of all on GM's facilities worldwide. Great products are one thing, but a safe and successful workplace really escalates this company forward into the future.
